This act started in 1765. The stamp act was where the colonists had to buy special stamps. They were to stamp many things. This included newspapers, wills, license insurance and policies.
The Sugar Act was in 1764. The Sugar Act put a duty products. This product was molasses. It also called for harsh punishments for people who steel. Colonial merchants, who sometimes protested.

This act was in 1763. The goal of the quartering act was to save money. The British were to provide food and other supplies. There is a rule that you have to house British troops even if you don't know them.
This happened on March 5, 1770. Angry crowds of workers surrounded a small group of soldiers. They screamed at them and they through snowballs and rocks. Soldiers faught back and killed 5 and wounded 6.
This was in 1733 when a large group who were in disguise as Indians. They through 342 cases in the harbor. They destroyed 90,000 pounds of tea. It was worth millions of dollars. The Sons of Liberty led it.
Patrick Henry was American who urged colonists to fight back against the British. His famous quote is "Give me liberty or give me death". Benjamin Franklin helped secure an alliance with France. Thomas Paine was a philosopher. He was really involved with the French Revolution.
