Storyboard Text

  • Orpheus was known for his excellent voice, and his ability to make wonderful music.
  • Loved by many, Orpheus only loved one person. Eurydice.
  • Eurydice was known for her beauty.
  • Adored by all, Eurydice only adored one person. Orpheus.
  • One day, Eurydice suffered from a fatal snake bite. She had been running from the beekeeper, Aristaeus.
  • Orpheus, unable to bear the pain of not being with Eurydice,tried to get her back by traveling to the underworld.
  • Using his voice, he brought the underworld to tears.
  • Hades, god of the underworld, allowed him to take Eurydice out of the underworld on one condition. He couldn't look behind him to make sure that Eurydice was following him.
  • During their journey out of the underworld, Orpheus began to think that Eurydice was no longer behind him. He couldn't turn around to check.
  • Is she still there?
  • Orpheus, scared and doubtful, turned around right before the two made it out of the underworld.
  • It was over.
  • Oh no . . .
  • Eurydice was sent spiraling back into the underworld.
