  • Landslides are  movements of land causing  land to fall.
  • Landslides They can happen in all 50 states. One of the many examples is the one that happened in Alaska in 1964. To fix the  damage caused by the landslide cost $280 million dollars.  Another landslide happened in Washington 1980 this landslide killed 10 people. The next landslide happened in Utah in 1983 this landslide cause a lot of damage it destroyed railways highways and houses. One of the the most devastating  landslides was the landslide in Salt lake Utah in 2013. This landslide killed 24 people and destroyed  many houses. Lastly the Gros Vente Wyoming 1925 was the 2nd largest landslide 
  • Why do landslides happen? Landslides happen for many reasons one is when the rain softens the ground. They can also be caused by earthquakes and heavy amounts of snow and rain
