  • Is this a dagger I see in front of me, with its handle pointing toward my hand?
  • Macbeth tried to grab the dagger but his hand went straight through as if it weren't there
  • I don’t have you but I can still see you. Fateful apparition, isn’t it possible to touch you as well as see you? Or are you nothing more than a dagger created by the mind, a hallucination from my fevered brain?
  • The dagger was a fragment of Macbeth's imagination leading him to King Duncan's room.  Suddenly there were splotches of blood on the dagger
  • It’s the murder I’m about to do that’s making me think I see the dagger
  • Macbeth slowly walked towards King Duncan's room looking down telling himself that he needed to be careful with his steps.
  • I’m going now. The murder is as good as done.
