Storyboard Text

  • In paleolithic times, our shelters were either caves or a tent-like structure.
  • This made us wander from place to place. Often when plants and animals went scarce they had to go and follow the animals for food.
  • These homes were made from mud bricks, stones, and tree branches.
  • In neolithic times, our homes were more permanent.
  • We had tall walls and openings at the top, so we used ladders to climb into our houses.
  • Inside the homes, we dug holes in our floors for cooking and boiling stuff.
  • In the Paleolithic age, people got food by hunting animals and gathered plants. But when the plants grew scarce, we had to move to a new area for food.
  • In Neolithic age, we started to learn how to plant seeds and domesticate animals. This meant that we didn't have to move around all the time.
  • We raised sheep, goats, and cattle. We have a stable food supply. We stopped hunting, so that meant that people stopped getting hurt. This made our group get bigger.
