Prometheus appears chained to a Rock by Hephaestuts, Power and Viokence, as a punishment by Zeus.
All three of them leave, now in comes the Chorus of the daughter of Oceanus, who ask him to explain what happened. Prometheus explains that he got chained because he gifted fire, innovation and progress to the human race. And Zeus was furious.
The Chorus tells him that they can ask Oceanus to talk to Zeus and set him free, but Prometheus refuses as he tells them that Zeus will not rule forever.
Now Io comes into the scene as a cow, Asking Prometheus why he keeps going on about not wanting to be free?Prometheus explains that he knows Zeus will be overthrown by one of the descendants of Io.
Shocked by this informtaion, Io flees the scene and in comes Hermes, asking Prometheus that if he is so confident that Zeus will be overthrown then he could at least explain how. Prometheus tells Hermes that he will not spill a word and sends him flying again.
In the end, Prometheus never changes his mind, and suddenly a dark void swallows him into another place that will continue the story...
