  • The voyages of Christopher Columbus led to the Spanish establishing colonies in the Americas.
  • Columbus sailed west across the Atlantic Ocean in search of an alternate trade route to Asia and its riches.
  • *Thinking* Gold, spices, and Riches)
  • Columbus’ three ships were named the Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria. 
  • These are my boats, please don't break them
  •  Columbus thought that he had reached the East Indies, but instead he landed near the Bahamas in the Caribbean and would call the natives “Indians”.
  • Enemy?
  • What? Friend?
  • Columbus died without regretting anything, never finding out that he never made it to India.
  • later on when Italians started to immigrate to America, they told those who didn't want them in the country that Columbus, an Italian, founded America.
