  • Brazil and Japan immigration.
  • the arrival of japaneses to brazil was motivated by thr interests of both coutries: Brazil needed  labor to work on coffe farms mainly in sao paulo and northenrn parana and japan needed to alleviate social tension in the country, caused by its high population index. to achieve this the japanese government adopted an emigration policy from the beggining of its modernization , witch began in the meiji era (1868) despite not being in favor of immigration in 1906 the gorvenments of japan and the estate of sao paulo carried out its process.
  • the migratory relationship between Brazil and japan has its origins in the beginning of the 20th century , a fact triggered by an agreement signed between the two countries. currently , Brazil has the largest Japanese population outside japan in the world , there are at least 1.5 million the people.
