Jackie Robinson, the first black player in the major leages, was an incredibly good baseball player, he wasn't judged for his ball playing skills though, he was judged by the color of his skin. The black people and children didn't, but the white people did. They even call what Jackie's coach did for him a "noble experiment", which everyone called a bad choice or a mistake.
Jackie's team mates did not except him either. But, the coach, Mr. Ricky said that if they had a problem with him, they can leave. Eventually though, his team mates excepted him. Not because they cared for him though, but because he made them money. The whites in the stand said that Mr. Ricky only put him on the team because he wanted to draw publicity.
Sadly, Jackie Robinson was never excepted fully, but Mr. Ricky, his wife Rachel, black people, and children were still devoted supporters of him.
