A Knight In The Middle Ages
Us, feudal nobles, trained from boyhood to become knights, or mounted warriors.
Our training was tough and of discipline; if we misbehaved, a punishment would be delivered.
Knights had a mutual obligation to serve their father's lord as they trained.
Chivalry was developed; knights would be brave, honorable, and generous to their enemies. They would not attack another knight while he was trying to put armor on.
We protected the vassals, lords, and peasants. Fiefs, the estates granted to vassals by lords, caused the vassals to give 40-day military services each year.
Knights in feudalist Europe had to endure and serve others throughout their life. In feudalism, we were above the peasants, but below the lords and vassals; we were used by them for protection.
