Storyboard Text

  • Hi, I'm not feeling so hot right now, I am having all sorts of problems.
  • Hello! How may I help you?
  • Ok. The doctor will be right with you then.
  • Fun fact: Viruses are tiny germs made of nucleic acid inside of a protein coating.
  • What seems to be the problem?
  • Well, I have been sneezing, with a runny and stuffy nose. My throat has been sore and I have been coughing a ton.
  • It seems to me that you have the common cold, which is a viral infection in the nose and throat.
  • Fun Fact: Sneezing happens because nerves detect irritation in the nose and that gets the lungs to push air through the nose to remove the irritation.
  • You could have gotten a cold easily by just being by a person with a cold, if they sneezed or coughed near you, the germs would have gotten near you and infected you.
  • These mucus drops then float in the air until breathed in and give someone else the virus.
