Hey, Tom! For once I actually did do research on this topic, but I still have a question. What is the purpose of the Bill of Rights?
Well, The Bill of Rights was added to the Constitution to protect the citizen's rights from the government's ability to take them away. So basically, it was made to state that the people's rights were to be protected from the government so the government could not take away the people's rights.
So that is why they created the Amendments? To separate all the rights that will be protected?
Yes, and they put those Amendments in the Bill of Rights so it can be organized for anyone who wants to read their rights.
Cool! The founding fathers, the ones who created the Constitution, really thought this process out, didn't they? Well, thanks for your help! See you around!
