  • Those lobster backs! They fired on innocent colonists! How could they kill 5 people?
  • The result
  • We need to do something, fast.
  • It's ridiculous. First they tax us, then they force these soldiers into our homes, and now this? Utterly ridiculous.
  • And so mad! I can't believe they would do such a thing. They better be charged with murder.
  • Those poor men. It makes me so sad to think about those 5 men that fought for whats right.
  • As tension increased on the streets of Boston, the troops continued to enforce the new laws placed upon the colonies. The colonists started throwing rocks and sticks at the soldiers.
  • Lexington and Concord
  • As the chaos continued on, someone yelled "Fire!", and the soldiers fired a bullet at the colonists, killing 5 of them.

  • As the word of the Boston Massacre spread throughout the colonies, the Patriots were angrier than ever on what had happened.
  • The result
  • After all of the problems and conflict, the colonies came together and the militiamen stole guns and gunpowder from the British.
  • British spies reveal that the colonists were hiding the goods stolen at Concord. They then decide to march 700 troops to seize the weapons.
  • The first shot fired between the rebels and the redcoats was known as the "shot heard around the world". This war led to the Declaration of Independence and America become its own country.
