Storyboard Text

  • First, Farmers add fertilisers to their crops.
  • When the rain comes some fertiliser sinks into the dirt underground as the plants can't take all the fertiliser at once.
  • The fertiliser then travels via a water stream underground to a lake or ocean.
  • It then makes the plants grow faster meaning that the plants on top stop sunlight from getting through to the lower plants.
  • The lower plants then die and bacteria use all the oxygen in the water to be able to eat the rotting plants.
  • Because of the lack of oxygen, the fish die of suffocation.
