I feel bad that I made my dad lost his thumb. So I am going to make it up to him by doing his job! Even though I am going to be leaving behind my family,friends, and the good food and shelter that I have now, I am proud to do this!!
Today we started our journey its been pretty rough. The guys gave me a nickname to, "Grandpa" is what they call me now because It means small and short. My muscles hurt more then ever and I have blisters and cuts all over my hands. I don't think l made the right decision, my hands hurt, I have a weird nickname and I'm always hungry
Today we entered the rapids, we ran the rapids. All of the men were helping each other out. This was the scariest thing in my life! I surely thought I was going to die.
Today we crossed Lake Superior, the first day was perfect. But the second day was a whole different story, first of all we saved 20 miles my cutting across a huge bay called Michipicoten. Then the crew and I encountered HUGE white waves!
Today we finally made it to Grand Portage!! After ll that hard work the guys and I put in to this I am super duper happy!! We finally got to eat decent meal! We all head out soon :)
I finally made it home! When I did get home, I got greeted by Cheslete and her family. When I saw my dad I couldn't belive how much I grew in just one summer, I was taller than my father!! I am super happy to get to lay in my own bed, be clean and have a amazing meal cooked by my mother!
