Storyboard Text

  • One day two runners of the woods were traveling down the St. Lawrence River for a trade between Huron and Europeans
  • We have to make it to the trade. If not then we will lose our profit!
  • Hopefully we will make it to the trade in one piece!
  • Suddenly, the two runners could see rapids in the distance and they decided what would be the best thing to do…
  • Okay, we need to pull ahore, we can’t go through those rapids!
  • Unfortunately you are correct, it will destroy our canoe and us! We need to proceed on foot.
  • However, the thing on top of the bush appeared to be the hat of a first nations chief! They had made it to the trade!
  • Yes! We have finally arrived!
  • You are late! You are lucky we have waited for you!
  • Let's go start the trade meeting
  • As they started walking they noticed a…
  • This is too adventurous for me!
  • BEAR!!!
  • Fortunately, they were taught by First Nations how to kill a bear if you were encountered by one.
  • I got it! Let's collect some of its meat and fur and get on our way, and we must move quicker.
  • I’ll distract it! Over here, over here!
  • Suddenly, the runners saw something popping out of the top of a bush.
  • We will take 15 pelts for 5 metal cooking pots
  • Seven pots and we have an agreement. We still have many other furs and weapons to trade.
