hi, my name is Landon and this is the Tibet Qinghai plateu it is more than 5 miles above sea level and is very rocky and sandy. it is also near the Himalayas home to Mount Everest.
these are the northwestern deserts right now we are in the Gobi desert and it is very hot because it is summer but in the winter it can be as cold as below freezing. there are oases around here too which are the only places you can grow crops and have cattle and sheep
the place I am in now is the northeastern plain or the Mongolian plain the river behind me is the Liao river, it is a shallow river that only small boats can go across. in the winter these rivers turn into roads because they froze.
this is the north China plain like the northeastern desert it is hot now but it is cold in the winter the ground is covered in a yellow limestone silt from the Gobi desert which is why it is called the land of the yellow earth the river is also filled with silt which gives it its name the Huang he. the river caries the silt to places around it and the silt fertilizes the ground
now I am in the chang Jiang basins it is located near the chang Jang river which gives it its name the chang Jang also means long river. the chang also is a highway for transporting goods. on its way to the basin it picks up soil and deposits it in the basin to make the basin hve amazing soil to farm
this is the Taklimakan desert it is the smaller of the two deserts and is much like the Gobi because it has oases where you can cultivate crops and have animals, it is also very cold in the winter and hot in the summer.
