Hello, I am wondering about women health drugs, such as contraceptive methods.
Absolutely! There's many methods of birth control, we can see which one would work the best for you.
One method is the injectable contraceptive and another you may like is a intravaginal contraceptive.
I would like to hear more about the injectable contraceptive.
Medroxyprogestrone (Provera, Depo- Provera) inhibits the secretion of pituitary gonadotropins, which prevents follicular maturation and ovulation. Also, protects you for 3 months.
What are the effects of Medroxyprogesterone?
Most common expected effects are, spotting between periods, weight gain or loss. Other adverse effects of using this contraceptive may put you at risk for bone density loss and depression.
Thats good to know!
Report back to me if you have severe depression or very heavy bleeding from your vagina for a lot more days than usual.
Will do! Thank you, Dr. Barry!
Im feeling great with my new birth control, medroxyprogesterone! I love the ease of it!
