In the begging there was nothing. When night and Erebus came, all was empty and silent. Only endless darkness. Then came love, and after that light and day. After that, Gaea the earth appeared.
Gaea alone gave birth to Uranus, the heavens. Uranus became her mate and covered all her sides. Together they gave birth to the three Cyclopes, the three Hecatoncheires, and twelve Titans.
However Uranus was a terrible father and hated the three Hecatoncheires. HE locked them away in the deepest corner of the earth, Gaea's womb. This angered Gaea and she made a flint sickle to try and get her children to attcak Uranus. All were to scared apart from the youngest Titan, Cronus.
Gaea and Cronus set up an ambush against Uranus, and at night Cronus grabbed his father and castrated him. Uranus promised revenge and although the fate of Uranus is not clear, Cronus became the ruler and married his sister Rhea. They then gave birth to many, but Gaea and Uranus had prophesied that he would be overthrown by his son.
To avoid this Cronus swallowed each of his children, but this angered Rhea! When it came to the sixth child Rhea hid and gave the baby to nymphs to raise. she then wrapped up stones and fed it to Cronus. This child grew up to be Zeus. Zeus then used a puking drink which Cronus the drank and puked up the five (unharmed) Gods.
Zeus is now the leader, but Cronus is yet to be defeated. He and the Titans fought to regain their power, but Zeus had the Cyclopes and Hecatoncheires on his side, therefore winning.
