Did I tell you that we have a spy? The readhead Cherry.
I should turn myself in. Maybe we can get off easier
It's our fault. It's our fault. It's our fault!
Starving and Curious, Johnny and Ponyboy sat with Dally at Dairy Queen eating food and asking about what is going on. During the conversation, Dallas tells the boys that warfare between Greasers broke out. In addition, Cherry is now a spy for the Greasers.
After Dairy Queen, the gang hits the road and Johnny decides that he would like to turn himself in to the police. Dally disagrees with this idea and starts screaming like a bird's mating call. Ponyboy doesn't know how he feels about the situation.
Where are they? Where is Johnny and Dally?
No. Johnny is wanted for murder and Dally is a criminal.
It's okay. They are okay. They are just in the next ambulance.
The three of you were sent from heaven
Unphased and guilty about the fire, Johnny and Ponyboy rushed into the Church to save the kids inside. These protagonists had seen the fire and decided to jump straight into action out of guilt. They felt guilty because they felt like they started the fire when they were staying there via cigarettes. It would be unfathomable for the both of them to not help.
I'm so sorry... I didn't mean for any of this to happen.
Ponyboy and Johnny saved the kids from the burning church. However, Johnny is stuck inside because timber fell straight onto his back. When Ponyboy gets out of the church, he is clubbed straight in the back by Dally since he was on fire.
Ponyboy woke up in an ambulance. He is scared and doesn't know where his friends are. He is as worried and protective as a dog over a baby. He has a conversation with one of the witnesses and he thanks Ponyboy over and over again.
Finally, Ponyboy, Sodapop, and Darry reunite in the hospital. Darry suddenly starts crying up an ocean and he's extremely sorry for mistreating Ponyboy. All this time, Ponyboy thought that Darry had a defiance for Ponyboy but in reality, Darry was just worried.
