Storyboard Text

  • The Lost Hero
  • Who... Are you? I don't remember you.
  • Jason, you okay?
  • Physical Description
  • Strongest Personality Trait
  • Leave me alone!
  • HAHAHAHAHAHA!
  • Piper McLean is an essential character in the book, The Lost Hero because she saves everyone time and time again. The first mention of character starts in the beginning of the book. "The girl squeezed his hand. 'Jason, you okay?'" (Riordan 1). Piper is asking Jason if he is fine because he does not seem to remember her. Jason is one of the main protagonists in the book.
  • Beginning Character Trait
  • Does everything in my miserable life have to go wrong. Jason actually never even knew me
  • On the bus, Jason wakes up with amnesia and does not remember who he is and sees Piper. Who has brown hair that is unevenly cut with braids, a snowboarding jacket, and kaleidoscope eyes. "Her chocolate brown hair was cut choppy and unven with thin strands braided down the sides... Her eyes seemed to change color" (Riordan 4). Riordan explains that Piper is a character with very recogniable traits. So that makes her memorable.
  • Middle Character Trait
  • You don't understand. I can't tell you.
  • It's okay to talk to us. We are your friends and we can help you.
  • Piper has many strong personality traits. But her strongest is her toughness/aggressiveness. On the buys, Piper is being bullied by some other girls. Even though Jason does not know her, he almost steps in but Leo stops him. "Leo caught his arm. 'Be cool. Piper doesn't like us fighting her battles'" (Riordan 11). Piper acts aggressively towards people because her father neglects her. She uses this rage against other people. When she is in a conflict, the last thing that she wants is for someone to help her. If she is mad she will handle the situation herself.
  • End Character Trait
  • I challenge you. I want to be the Senior. I have done way much more than you have.
  • You can't do that! That is against the rules!
  • In the beginning, Piper is tough with a side of sensitivity. During the story, Piper finds out that she actually kever knew Jason and that she was tricked by the Mist. "How could that be? She started to cry. She felt like a total fool... Did everything that was good in her stupid miserable life have to be taken away" (Riordan 50). Piper has all this rage because her life is miserable. Her dad is too busy for her and her boyfriend doesn't remember her.
  • During the middle, Piper is unsure and unconfident of herself. In the sewers in Chicago, she breaks down. "Piper looked on the verge of tears. 'Jason, I can't talk about it.' 'We're your friends. Let us help.' That seemed to make her feels worse" (Riordan 286). Piper has been assigned a quest with Jason and Leo. She is unsure if she will be able to assist them in times of need. Especially because she has also been tasked with betraying them.
  • Towards the end of the book, Piper is extremely powerful and persuasive. In the very end, she ends up taking Cabin 10 because she is more worthy. "A week ago, Piper would've either punched Drew in the face or hidden back under the covers... Looking at Drew, who used to bother her, Piper laughed" (Riordan 522). After her quest, Piper is as powerful as ever. Because of her power, she shuts down Drew and becomes the leader of Cabin 10 after Drew is intimidated by her and steps down.
