  • This is the conflict of the story because Patrick says something that makes Mary extremely mad.
  • Don't worry I will leave you with money for you and the kid
  • This is the rising action when the author leads us to the changing point in the story which is the climax.
  • I'm not hungry. I'm leaving
  • This is the turning point in the story or climax because Mary now has to figure out what to do with her dead husband now that she has killed him
  • So now I've killed him
  • This is the falling action where Mary tells the police officers that she didn't kill her husband.
  • I don't know what happened
  • Even though the author still leaves us with questions, this is the resolution of the story because it is rapped up with Mary getting away because they ate the murder weapon.
  • The murder weapon is probably right under our noses
