Railroads played a huge role in Texas because of many different reasons.One was that railroads would provide farmers a way to transport goods to markets faster without breaking the bank.Another reason was that they would offer a way for citzens to travel across the country by train. The railroads also helped get imports of construction materials and supplies to the western part of the state.
The Spindletop oil boom affected Texas drastically.Especially the economy and oil prices.The oil prices drastically dropped to 3 cents per barrel. Although a majority of the early oil companies didn’t survive the ones that did affected the Texas economy. By providing thousands of Texans with jobs.
The Spanish influenced cattle ranching with how they claimed their cattle. Spanish claimed their livestock with brands, which Texans did as well.Tejanos were also the first to have cattle drives.Which Texas ranchers also do.
