My parents are at it again. When will it stop? When will the pain stop? The rain pours behind my tears, but the only thing I can think of is how much longer I can handle this.
"How could you?!"
Drunk AND yelling. This is going to be a rough night. I don't need to think of it being better, it wouldn't.
You are being dumb! Don't forget stupid!
When will the storm end? This storm been raging for hours. I don't mind though. The rain blocks out the sounds of my parents. You'd think since I'm eighteen I'm old enough to escape right? No, me, Kenny, short for Kansas Delaware Lawrence, was adopted. I can't escape.
A whirligig! Its so pretty! A dark angel is holding a white one! I wonder what this beauty means. Even during this hurricane, the whirligig is struggling. It doesn't give up. It stays there and doesn't move. It has hope it will survive.
Oh look! The hurricane's moving out.
Mom, Dad, I'm going out! Not like you care.
I wonder who made this. I'm not quite the sentimental type, but, you made it through the storm! You didn't give up. Based on you're appearance, an evil angel is helping a good one!
I figured it out! I understand! Even when you're stuck you're stuck in the dark, you always look up. Hope will swoop down in many different, unusual ways. In this case, the angel found hope in a devil.
I think I just found my hope, after years of waiting.
You shouldn't be embarrassed, everyone needs to cry once in awhil.
I'm sorry! I don't know exactly why I'm crying. I think its because I've been going to church for 18 years and this whirligig changed my life in 10 minutes flat! I'm so silly, I'm already eighteen and I'm crying to a stranger.
