Hello! My name is Francis Bacon. I was born January 2, 1561 in London, England. My father was Lord Keeper, so I came from a wealthy family. I was tutored at home until age 12, and then I attended the University of Cambridge later on.
I am most commonly known for my method of thinking, to you it would be inductive theories, meaning that you collect facts to make theories. I was different from different scientists in a way, because instead of agreeing with everything Aristotle did, I was trying to replace it with true facts.
I became the Lord Chancellor in 1618, and I was impeached because I may or may not have been bribing while in office, resulting in getting banned from London.
My work was believed by a man named Robert Boyle. Unfortunately it was after I died so I never met him. The royal Society promoted my principals, but as far as I am aware no one opposed them.
I died on April 9, 1626
Impact on the worldHe made the idea that things should be expiremented again and that you need solid facts, and that you cant just think something and say it unless you have a solid argument with proof proving otherwise.
