  • Oh no! If I don't pass my cell theory test tomorrow coach says I can't play the rest of the season. How am I supposed to understand how it works if I'm always at practice instead of class?
  • That would be great thanks!! We should probably go to a classroom shouldn't we?

  • Okay the first principle of the cell theory is on the board. Can you remember who the scientist was that discovered cells?
  • Cell Theory- Cells are the basic unit of structure and function
  • I believe it was Matthias Schleiden and Theodore Schwann.
  • Okay now, who were the scientists that came together to state this second principle of the cell theory?
  • Cell Theory- All organisms are made of cells
  • So then Rudolph Virchow was the scientist that stated that cells come from preexisting cells?
