Hello students, my name is Bob and I will show you how enzyme work.
Enzymes have catalyzed reactions and have lower activation energy than a uncatalyzed reaction, to add on the lock is the enzyme and the key is the substrate and only the correct sized substrate fits into the activation site of the enzyme.
Enzymes breaks down substrates with the lock key method by having the correct substrate (key) and having the good sized enzyme (lock) will make the lock key method reaction. Also having the incorrect substrates results in having no lock key reaction.
Inhibitors block enzymes at the activation site, therefore slowing them down because they get stuck competing with substrates at the activation site which prevents any substrates molecules reacting with the enzymes.
Enzymes are affected by shape changes in PH because their high or low PH value which results in complete loss of activity for most enzymes. Enzymes change by increasing the temperature which increase the activity of the enzymes.
