Storyboard Text

  • What in Sam hill are you doing?  He has gone and drowned his dinner in syrup!
  • Calpurnia shows grace in this scene by teaching Scout that everyone is different, and treating people that are different is not acceptable.
  • That boy's yo' comp'ny and if he wants to go and eat up the table cloth you let him, you hear?
  • He ain't company, Cal, he's just a Cunningham
  • Hush yo mouth! Don't matter who they are, anybody that sets foot in this house's yo comp'ny, and don't you let me catch you acting like you so high and mighty!
  • A myterious figure (thought to be Boo Radley) puts chewing gum as an act of kindness.  He shows grace by doing this, even though he is thought of as an insane monster.
  • Scout finds the gum on her way back from school.
  • Jem is very suspicious of the gum.
  • I found it in a tree! You want some?
  • Don't eat things you find, Scout
