There was a variation as some had hooked lips while others had square lips
One day, two white rhinos had offspring. Some had hooked lips while others had normal lips.
As they grew up, those with hooked lips noticed how difficult it was to feed on grass.
This grass is so hard to eat!
The selection of the square lips made those with square lips more likely to survive
One day, they were exploring and found this forest
Wow! These bushes and leaves are so much easier to eat!
Their behavioral selves led them to leaving the plains
They had brung some friends over and started to settle in the forest, although it was a struggle for their friends to eat
how do you guys eat like this!
Over the next 10 years, the rhinos had bred and ones with the hooked lips were able to pass down their genes to their offspring.
The offspring inherited their parents traits
Over time, the two rhino groups became two separate species. The white and the black rhinos
Neither could survive in the opposing environment because of how different they both were
