Storyboard Text

  • I am here to knock all of the Indians in this area out of there lands.
  • What will happen to our land?
  • Stop being a baby, you will have your own land soon enough!
  • Mama! Please don't let them take me!
  • This family has lost a member of their tribe. Their father is angry at the white man for what they have done. One daughter is very sick and  another is exhausted and mourning the loss of her brother.
  • Sup! I am Andrew Jackson and I am passing an act that will help the white man but potentially kill thousands of people!
  • The young girls and boys passed away and the poor Indians continued their journey looking for the promised land. They lost many loved and it came to a point where it was normal.
  • The Indians were moved west of the Mississippi River, most were seperated from their families and many had to walk the 800 miles and carry as much as possible.
  • They have finally made it to the promised land, not many have survived but those who have made it, are strong and determined and deserve to be free.
  • They walked in freezing weather, pouring rain, suffered from dehydration, starvation, and disease. About 4,000 Indians, and Cherokee died.
  • This is where they have settled and live there life till the end.
  • The Indians often had pebbles in there shoes and would cut up their feet, they would walk in the pouring rain none stop. And often would get beaten if caught talking to any other Indians.
  • At last the Indians have made it to the promised land. They are at peace have their own land ways of life and more freedom.
  • At last they have ended the journey.
