During the first crusade, there were two different groups that fought. The peasants who were untrained lacked military equipment, and on their way, many were killed by Muslim Turks. But there was another group as well the knights who were trained had military equipment, and succeeded in capturing Jerusalem.

The Christians win the first Crusade but shortly go back home from Jerusalem.
The second crusade. After many Christians went back home from the Holy land The king of France and Emperor of Germany sent troops to stop the Turks, they were defeated.
The Third Crusade is the most popular. Saladin (the leader of the Muslims) and King Richard (leader of the Christians) went to battle for the control over the Holy Land(Jerusalem).
Although the Muslims kept the Holy lamd King Richard assured Christians sftey when visiting the Holy land.
There were many results of the crusades. They had improvements in ships and maps. Feudalism declines because feudal lords die or spend too much money on the military. Turks still rule the holy land. Europeans wanted to start traveling. And the most important result, trade between Europe and Asia increases.
