  • Muhammad Ali Jinnah wanted to gain independence for Pakistan. He worked with ghandi to join Hindus and Muslims.    
  • Muslims didn't want to be joined together with India. They refused what Ghandi and Jinnah tried to do for each of their nations and continued fighting and killing Hindus.
  • we want to stay separate!
  • The British tried overcoming the Hindus and Muslims, they fought and killed as many Indians as they could. The British officers got control over both of these groups and continued to mistreat them. 
  • Muhammad Ali Jinnah gave a speech about Hindus and Muslims having freedom in Pakistan. He wanted both groups to work together so there would be no more violence. 
  • Jinnah and Ghandi set out for a Salt March for an act of civil disobedience, this lasted 24 days and was done because of the British tax on salt. 
  • Pakistan finally gained Independence from the British in August 1947. Muslims and Hindus came together and stopped fighting with eachother.
