  • Mesopotamia Is located in Asia and in modern day Iraq. For the people who lived there they depended on the Tigris and the Euphrates rivers to live.
  • People moved to the rolling foothills of Zagros, but there was was a problem and that problem was there was not enough space for crops to grow so that they can feed all of the people there.
  • People ended up moving to the plains.
  • Two things they did to control the water are building irrigation systems and levees.
  • The main problem about all of this is that the two river where uncontrolled
  • They cleaned it by all working together and just doing it for the common good.
  • People had to clean the canals so they did not fill with silt and get clogged.
  • Because of all of the team work they began to create larger communties
  • As the cities grew larger and larger they began to fight over the right to use more water.
  • All of these things have made this place a part of the history of the two rivers.
