Water cycle process

Storyboard Text

  • Evaporation
  • Hi i'm Droply, and this is what happens in evaporation.
  • Condensation
  • As a cloud I can get cold and crystalize.
  • Precipitation
  • Precipitation comes in rain, snow, hail, or sleet.
  • The sun's energy (Radiant energy) turns the water in the ocean into water vapor (liquid into gas), this process is called evaporation.
  • Downhill Flow
  • It has finished raining and now I'm going down this mountain.
  • Condensation is gas changing back into a liquid. Clouds crystalize from the cold air, this is gas turning to a liquid or turning from a liquid into a solid .
  • Infiltration
  • Gravity continues to pull me down, now I am going into the ground.
  • The force of gravity pulls rain, hail, snow, or sleet to the surface (ground) from the clouds, this is precipitation.
  • Transpiration
  • I'm now on a plant and am about to be evaporate from the leaves.
  • Gravity is still pulling the water down, this is called downhill flow. The water ends up in streams, rivers, or on the ground.
  • I've ended up in a stream
  • Infiltration is when Gravity pulls the water down into the ground. The water is sucked up into the ground. Groundwater makes its way to plants and back to the ocean.
  • Transpiration is evaporation but through plants. It is the same, it is liquid turning into water vapor. After the water evaporates and goes through condensation again, the water cycle goes through again.
