Today we are going to learn about proteins, lipids, carbohydrates, and nucleic acids. The 4 macromoleclues.
So go get into the magic school bus!
Everyone get in!
This burger has all of the macromoleclues. We will start with Carbohydrates! Carbohydrates are used for short-term energy storage. It contains that elements C,H, and O, and its monomer is monosacerids or simple sugar.
Next is lipids! Lipids are used for long-term storage. A lipid has the elements C,H, and O. A lipids monomer is fatty acids.
Nucleic acids. Nucleic acids store and transmit genetic info. A nucleic acids monomer is nucleotide. It has the elements C,H,O,N, and P.
And last but not least proteins! Proteins speed up biochemical reactions and regulate the life process! It contains the elements C,H,O, and N. The monomer is amino acids.
