One day, a single box washed up on the shore, and out came a rat. He has never been here before and doesn't recognize anything. He has to use his structural and behavioral adaptations to survive will he?
Adaptation 1: Structural:Since the Island Rat is able to swim in water, he is able to fish for food with its claws and teeth.
Adaptation 2 Behavioral: There is soft ground, so he is able to dig underground to create his home.
Adaptation 3 Structural:Since he is tan, he blends in with the sand so no predators can find him.
Adaptation 4 Structural: He has strong fast legs, so it's easier to do things like collect his food (aka fish)
It's finally time for bed. He has got food, dug up a place to sleep. I think it's safe to say that he can indeed survive.
