She saved a British adventurer named, John Smith. She had saved John from getting beaten by her father. She established relationships with the British, and also helped them settle on the land. She had gotten food and other necessities for them to survive.
Pocahontas is important because she helped bring peace between the Natives and the British. She saved a British explorer he and his people were trespassing on their land. She is a symbol of kindness and courage.
