Dear Stephan It's been a long time, how are you? I heard you'll come to Chile. I'm excited about you visit. I hope we can have a breakfast meeting while you are here.
Paula: Hi my friend,I'm very well, how are you? I'm happy to tell you that I'm going to be in you country very soon. I have a business meeting. Honestly, I don´t know much about your culture, so I'll be really greatful If you tell me about it.
Stephan: Here in Chile, most of the time we have bad manners at work, like arrive late, being rude with your coworkers, use the phone at meetings, etc. altought we have a dress code, which is formal. At lunch time we usually go to eat fast food. We don't talk much about work, but about our personal life. Is there anything else that you want to know? I'll be happy to answer any doubt.
Paula: I'm suprise of what you've told me. I didn't knew you guys were like that at work. I think there's a lot of difference in our cultures. Here in London we are very punctual, we try not to be rude with our coworkers, we don't use the phone at meetings at least is an emergency. But I also think that pressure may affect at work, so I understand you. I hope people in Chile will be easy going with me, I'll be with them too.
Stephan: Yes, pressure afect us, that's why we have bad manners sometimes. But we are good persons, so don't be afraid of Chilean people. We will receive you well. I'll wait until we can get together for breakfast. Good luck my friend.
Paula: I'll let you know so we can meet. Thank you a lot for your information, I appreciate. We're in touch.
