  • The Proclamation Act (1763)
  • Stay over there!
  • There not going to enforce it so, I'm going to still go.
  • I don't see any British troops.
  • The Stamp Act and its Repeal (1765)
  • You now have to pay taxes on paper goods.
  • No, it was taken away by Patrick Henry!
  • The Townshend Acts (1767)
  • You now have to supply us troops and pay taxes for these imported goods!
  • Why should we have to pay for these unfair taxes and soldiers! They are abusing their power!
  • The Proclamation Act stated no one can cross past the Appalachian mountains. The process failed when the colonist would move there anyway. There were no British troops to guard the area. This lead to American Revolution because Americans had fought in the French Indian War to gain territory in the Ohio River Valley which is a part of Appalachian Mountains.
  • The Boston Massacre (1770)
  • The Stamp Act stated that the colonist had to pay taxes on paper goods. Colonist had to buy paper goods with a British stamp on it. This angered the colonist and a man named Patrick Henry told the king to take down the tax or else the king would face a rebellion. This lead to the American Revolution because of the colonist lead a uproar of taxation without representation.
  • The Tea Act and Boston Tea Party (1773)
  • Throw it all over board!
  • The Townshend Acts stated that the colonist had to pay taxes for these newly imported goods. They all so had to supply British troops with supplies and quarters. The colonist started to go on a boycott to show a sign of protest against the acts. This lead to the American Revolution because these acts only angered the colonist more especially suppling for the troops.
  • The Intolerable Act (1774)
  • Since the tea incident, we now are going to list all of these rules you need to follow.
  • The Boston Massacre was an event that lead colonist to argue with a man named Huge White. They gathered outside the Custom House where British troops tried to hold back the colonist. They started taunting the troops when they showed their guns. This lead to the American Revolution because the deaths of the colonist were used against the British troops.
  • All of you stand back!
  • What, are you going to shoot us?!
  • Huge White sucks!
  • The Tea Act stated that they had to pay taxes for tea. This lead to the Boston Tea party. A group of men known as the Son of Liberty dressed like Indians and went to 3 ships and threw tea into sea. This lead to the American Revolution because the British were furious with the colonist throwing the tea and the colonist were furious because of the unfair taxes.
  • The Intolerable Acts stated rules that colonist had to follow due to the actions of the Boston Tea party. The acts were the reduce of self-government, the closing of the port of Boston, people in the tea party are being trialed in England, and colonist had to quarter troops. This lead to the American Revolution because colonist felt that they were violating their rights.
  • What have rights too you know!
