Hello, my name is Jafari. I am from the Zandi tribe. I cannot wait to tell you all about our ways of life. We are located in three different countries: South Sudan, the DRC, and the Central African Republic.
We use this river to clean ourserlves and our clothes. We also clean this water to drink. We plant crops along these rivers after we gather dirt. We plant rice, squash, and pumpkins.
Our people used to practice the traditional African religion. Today, many people, including me, have converted to Christianity due to missionaries that visited us a few decades ago. Our tribe religion is also based around witchcraft. It is called Mangu.
Our people speak a very weird language here. We speak Adamawa-Ubangi branch. That is part of the Niger-Congo family. I'm sure you have NEVER heard of this language.
Our people are also known as the Azandi. The word "Azandi" means: "the people who possess much land." They were known as this because they were conquering warriors. They moved a lot to find and conquer new lands. Also, this is my house. My dog is inside. Let me show you my family.
Hello! We are Kwame (wife), Ekon (son), and Daliah (daughter). We are the family of Jafari. We are at our grandmother's house. We are celebrating my cousin's marriage. We better get going! Thank you for visiting!
