Longhorns appeared in Texas in the mid 1800s. Spanish and English cattle were breed and made longhorns that were brought by U.S settlers. Longhorns could endure hot weather and even cold. People made buttons, cups, decorations, and furniture out of their horns.
.J.S. Cullinan was the founder of the Corsicana oil refinery. Another spindle-top oil company the J.M. Gulley petroleum company, was formed in may 1901. Being in the oil fields was always hard for some people.
