Angola was a regular country until the portuguese came and took over Angola.
The portuguese took over from the year 1955-1975 which was about twenty years of colonial rule.
The Portuguese were mostly involved in slave trade and through slave trade Portuguese turned many angolans into slaves and also lost many angolans that is one of the reasons why it was easy for the portuguese to take over angola.
Well first of all Angola was not treated with any respect after Portaguese took over many angolans were disrespected and turned into slaves.
The Angolians were tired of being treated with disrespect so they decided to fight back against the Portaguese and regain there independence.
