In a very olden time, there once lived a semi-barbaric king. He had charisma and his authority was so irresistible to all whom he met. He was passionate and thought of himself as the supreme; his thoughts and ideas were very sophisticated, however, they were also extreme and with no limits.
The king's way of administering justice was to hold a tribunal for the accused person and he or she would choose their own fate by simply choosing and opening a door.
The door that was chosen would either result in death or marriage. Behind one door would be a ferocious and hungry beast, waiting for its next meal and behind the other would be a gorgeous woman, if that door was opened they would immediately get married whether it was wanted or n it was never the same door which one of the options were, it was always switched up so that the fate accused criminal would only depend on himself.
It was beleived that after the queen's untimely death the king's behavior seemed to change. He was often moody and depressed. He attempted to find ways to cheer himself up or to distract himself from his greif, and he only found one single way: the method of his tribunals.
The only family member who the king had left in his lonely life was his daughter, the princess. She was a gorgeous young lady and was just as passionate and intense as her father. However, she was also a calm soul at times. When the princess wished to be alone she loved to sit in the courtyard and feel the wind brush against her delicate face and smell the aroma of the flowers.
One day while sitting in the courtyard the princess encountered a man. He was a commoner but he was so tall and handsome that the princess found him irresistible. They talked for quite some time and eventually began to form a secret relationship. They both loved each other more than words could describe and longed that one day their passion towards each other would no longer be hidden.
