  • In the biggining of the colonization period of North America, the colonists settled in the East Coast eventually entering in conflict with the natives.
  • After they had stablished the thirteen colonies the colonists started to be involved in problems due to the British govenment.
  • Then the people of the colonies realized that they were almost not represented in the parlament in London. they grew ever angrier and felt stranded so they wanted freedom
  • All of the tension that had grown to the time was unleashed in the Boston Tea Party which was a declartion on intentions by the colonists to the British. this escalated quickly into an all out war for independence.
  • After the war, the founding fathers wrote the constitution which was the law from then on. The new country was formmed in North America and freedom was their main focus. they were divided in states in a federal government which prevented the national powers from overthrowing the states.
  • The nation of the United States is built upon these principals: freedom, justice, democracy and federalism.
