Storyboard Text

  • France is broke.
  • Forms the National Assembly
  • "Oath of the Tennis Court"
  • After all the wars and reckless spending France turns broke. They only taxed the poor because their government was still based on feudalism.
  • Storm the Bastille
  • King Louis XVI tried to bring order an calls the first assembly in over a hundred years. This goes south and the 3rd estate or 98% of the population forms the National Assembly of France.
  • The National Assembly takes control.
  • After they broke away the made up their on laws and such. All people swore to the "Oath of the Tennis Court," after this the revolution had begun.
  • King Louis XVI is beheaded
  • All the people of France (minus the nobles/clergy) storm the Bastille, to free the prisoners and get the munitions and supplies to fuel the revolution.
  • After the storming of the Bastille the National Assembly took over France and put in place new laws, also abolished all rights the nobles and clergy had.
  • King Louis XVI feared for his live and tried to meet his brother and his friends to recapture the country but was caught and sentenced to death.
