You aren't going to have a lot of glasses after this, I'm quite thirsty.
Read the sign boy
Boy every time you touch a glass I break it
Boy you belong in the back of the bus!
I belong where I want. I pay the same amount of money to get on this bus so I deserve to sit where I want.
Daddy lets just get up and leave. Don't be radical.
Boy want are you doing after you pay you get off and walk to the back of the bus and get off you may not cross through the middle of the bus.
This is unacceptable. We shouldn't be treated like this. Segregation shouldn't allowed.
This perspective is Vernon Johns.Back then everything was segregated from blacks to whites. In this scene I walk into a white coffee shop and every time I drink from a glass the worker breaks it because its "dirty" and everyone laughs at me because I'm not welcome there. There were lots of rules against blacks such as voting and having to take the Literacy Test or paying the Poll Tax.
I wanted to sit down in the front of the bus but a man thought it was not okay that I sat up with my daughter in the front of the bus because its not to them. Blacks didn't have the same civil rights, and there was not a lot of freedmen. There is this group called the Ku Klux Klan that didn't accept blacks they were brutal and supported Jim Crow Laws and Black Codes that went against blacks.
During Reconstruction the North wanted to hug the south and not slug them. However I was a very radical man and wanted the white southerns to pay. In this scene in the movie I witnessed an old black man being left behind because he couldn't make it to the back of the bus fast enough.
