  • At the end of the Revolutionary War America signed a treaty with Britain to get land to the Mississippi River.
  • The English had been supplying  the Native Americans then signed a treaty for the land where the Native Americans were to be U.S. land.
  • In 1775 the Native Americans came together to create the Western Confederacy. And  conducted a series of raids in Ohio. Because they thought this was their land.
  • What happened?
  • With the attack on a supply train heading towards Fort Green Ville, Anthony Wayne decided to move towards the Maumee River
  • The Native Americans decided to attack at a spot called fallen timbers.
  • Wayne's men drove the Native Americans out easily
  • The battle led to the treaty of Greenville, which said that all Native Americans would move out of Ohio.
