The great god Apollo wanted to become a god again after being turned mortal, but he gets stuck with a sassy girl, Meg, and discovers he has to find the oracle of Dodona. So he goes off on his adventure with Meg and finds the Oracle. Only soon after he finds it, Meg betrays him and joins the evil god Nero. Apollo couldn't save Meg . Then he frees all of Nero's captives and goes back to camp to defeat Nero.
At the beginning of the story Apollo gets bullied for his looks and his name, and even though today is alot more strict about bullying society still brings people down.
Conflict & Resolution
Apollo changes a lot throughout the story, so he is a dynamic character. At the beginning he is insecure, yet so full of himself. But at the end he figures out he doesn't have to be so self-absorbed but can be confident.
In the forest Apollo felt he was being watched and this made him nervous but also more cautious than he was before. In the presence of the grove inside of the forest Apollo did feel more powerful.
The evil god Nero wants to take over and burn the grove of Dodona, but Apollo and Meg come in and attack Nero's troops. They save the gove and later Apollo goes into battle and saves Camp half-blood with his fellow campers.
The trials of Apollo by Rick Riordan, a mythological fiction novel, is about bravery and reveals that you should always do what is right even when it is dangerous.
