The Monsters Are Due on Maple Street By: Jake Medrano
LOOK! THIS IS LIKE THE BOOK! ISN'T THAT WIERD!
It doesn't work!
Who did it!!!!
Creating and living in fear can cause people to believe things that are not true and make people do things with out thinking. When Tommy says, "They don't want us to leave. That's why they shut everything off", this made everyone feel afraid that there might be aliens taking over the city. Also, when Don says, "What do you say we ask him?" and the group suddenly starts towards the house. By the group suddenly going to the house they didn't have a plan of what they were going to say. Last, Goodman said, "You were so quick to kill, Charlie, and you were so quick to tell us who to be careful of". This shows that Charlie acted in fear because he was irresponsible with the shotgun and killed Pete Van Horn. When people are scared of something it can can make people do things that don't make sense and can end up hurting people.
Tommy read a comic book one day and it realated to what was happening in his actual life. He was telling Steve and the others about how he shouldn't have done that! The whole crowd wouldn't believe what Tommy was saying to them.
Steve's car started a few minutes ago, but it's not starting anymore. He kept trying over and over and he doesn't know what happened to his car.
People are talking in confusion and asking what is going on. Everything that is happening is completely unexplainable. They are wondering who the monster is and how are all these things are happening.
