  • The colonists were furious with the tea act which lead up to a big argument with the British.
  • All the conflict was happening in Boston, Massachusetts on December 16th, 1773!
  • The main cause for the Boston Tea Party was a political protest trying to target the tea act due to the act allowing other people outside of America sell tea without taxes.
  • The people that were involved in the Sons Of Liberty and the colonists that were living in the area.
  • What happened that night was American patriots got onto ships that were sent by East India companies and threw chests of tea off the ships and into the water.
  • The immediate outcome would be that the harbor got shut down and they had to pay back all the 340 chests of tea. Weighing over 46 tons and coming to a cost of 1 million dollars today.
